Payment of a security deposit to establish service of two months service ($220) may be required when:
- There is a poor history of on-time payment with ASCSD
- Two or more payments have been returned unpaid within a one-year period
- The account is shut off for nonpayment during the prior one-year period
- The billing history of the property reflects one or more of the above
In most cases the security deposit is refunded after 12 consecutive months of on-time payment. If an account has service interrupted for nonpayment, a deposit will be required for service restoration and will be held for the life of the account. No interest shall be credited to the customer on the deposit.
